New prices at Alma starting 8 September 2025

At the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, Alma will introduce new meal prices. From Monday 8 September, updated prices will apply at the cash register.

This adjustment is linked to a change in Alma’s subsidy structure. For many years, KU Leuven and Stuvo have supported the pricing of the student restaurants, allowing students and staff to pay less than the actual cost of a meal. From this academic year onwards, these funds will be distributed slightly differently to meet new needs and priorities.

For students, this means that some meals will increase slightly in price. The daily meal will now be €5.60, spaghetti €5.85, and the most expensive meal category will rise by €1.

At the same time, Alma remains committed to affordability. Thanks to subsidies and the reinvestment of part of our profits, our prices continue to be significantly lower than the real cost of a meal.

With these new prices, we stay true to our mission: to offer students healthy, varied, and affordable meals every day at the heart of the KU Leuven community.
